Installing Hardware Drivers

Hi All,

My friend mentioned to me about installing drivers the correct way.

Is there a certain process for installing new build drivers?

In any particular order.

He gave me GUru3d as a site with all drivers on there also.

There's no set order for installing drivers on a new build, I tend to find the order of installation is determined by where the drivers are. For example the ATI Catalysts need the .net updates for XP if you want to use the control centre so unless you have Autopatcher etc you'll need to connect to the internet first so the LAN drivers need to go on first.

I'd always install chipset before any other drivers.

I would do the chipset first, then graphics, then sound... then anything else!
