Is it possible to install Ubuntu onto a hard drive connected to one computer then move it over to another and use it without having to reinstall. I'm setting up a boinc machine and don't have a spare CD or DVD drive to put in it so want to install linux on this computer first and have a useable OS for the other machine.

Thanks

Yes, it does appear that I'm stalking you lately, Amp. :D

I was just going to say that :p

I'll do it that way then, it will make it easier than having to take a dvd drive out of this one just to install one thing on the HD. Would i need to install Boinc at the same time, or could i just download it straight from the website using the server version of linux when the Hd's in the other PC?

Thanks again
