Installing Lots Of Hardware?

So do I need to remove Vista completely, or can i reinstall over the top? Will that work, or will it need a clean install? Will it delete any of my other files, which I've heard XP could do.

What new parts is it? If its a new motherboard, you will need to reinstall Vista. I would do a clean install rather than a reinstall (i.e. format the partition). Assuming all that is on that partition/drive is windows and programs, then you'll have to reinstall all that anyway.
