hello, just after a bit of help please

built a new system and im having a few problems.

when istalling a clean instance on WMCE 2005 it installs from CD1 then asks for CD 2, then it asks for Service Pack 2 CD !

at this stage I got on my spare pc, extracted the SP2 exe I had and burned the contents to a CD.

put this cd in my new build and it couldnt find the files it was after on its own, i had to point it to the right folder. but it seemed ok, it then asked for CD1 again and the install was done.

now this way of installing has worked on 3 different occasions without any issues.

now on my new system, everything appears to be fine. unitl that is I try and run the media centre console. all I get is a BLACK screen, can still see the white cursor though, so the monitor has switched off, and i can even close down the console by clickin the top right hand corner of the black screen. its weird, everythin gelse is fine, games demos etc. its just the media centre console

I have the following system

Asrock 939 dual SATA 2
Opteron 146
Nvidia 6800GT AGP
2 gig of corsair memory

i know thi smobo is a picky bugger but i have done the following to avoid all of known problems

Fresh install of OS
downlaoded latest intergrated 2.13 AGP drivers
check the ULI agp driver shows in the system devices
instal the latest Nvidia GPU drivers.

Does anyone have any idea or can shed any light on this. should it ask for the service pack 2 cd or not ?

getting a little miffed

well tried again

formatted HD
installed WMCE this time putting in cd 1 when it asks for service pack 2 cd
downloaded latest ULI drivers and installed them
checked AGP driver installed
Rebooted
updated windows
downloaded latest WMNCE edition Nvidia drivers
rebooted

STILL BLACK SCREEN WHEN I LOAD THE MEDIA CONSOLE :-(

thanks mate but i got it working now. no idea how, spent an hour installing and unistalling drivers. and then out of the blue it started working :)
