Installing my new graphics card

Hey guys,

I Have just sold my 560 2gb and brought a 7950.

I was wondering what is the best way to instal this new card seeing as i have changed from nvidia to AMD.

Is it best to do a clean windows instal or what are the best drivers to install?

Finally how do i install the new card? just turn off the computer and swap cards then turn on and install the new drivers?

Any advice would be welcomed

what i do:

-Uninstall previous drivers
RESTART
-use 'Driver Sweeper' to get rid of remaining files
RESTART
-install new driver
RESTART

shut down, physically install new GPU
Start up -install new driver
RESTART

While a clean install isn't necessary - When I had a PC and upgraded my graphics cards, I would do a clean install so it would be nice and speedy with my new component

But as Windheaven said, make sure you uninstall all the previous drivers before fitting the new card. Then fit the new card, and install the drivers as required
