Hi guys, I got my 290X back from the company I RMA'd it too. Claimed there was nothing wrong with the card and sent it back. Whatever, I finally after much crap got them working again.

Anyway, Everything I install the drivers I get "Finished but with some errors" It restarts and it seems fine. Whats even more annoying is the error log shows nothing in it.

So whats the "With some errors" mean? When installing drivers the screen does not flash on and off like it used to do? :s

I always use a program to wipe my drivers clean before installing new ones.

What program do you use? That error normally occurs after using a driver wiping program. Its best to uninstall the drivers normally via the Catalyst install manager, then run the driver sweeper tool called DDU.

You can try using DDU now to fix the error, but you may have to reinstall your OS to fix it long term.

Do you know what the problem is? Will it effect my graphics card?

Also I always use DDU to unstaill, But I use it without uninstalling via the Catalyst, Is that the issue?

Which version of DDU are you using? An older version had this problem, though i believe its been fixed in newer versions. Play it safe next time, uninstall the driver properly first, then run DDU before installing the new driver.

I dont think it's anything to worry about.

I recently updated to the recently release 14.4 WHQL driver on a 6450 and it also said finished with errors.

What it meant was one or more of the components it tried to install it couldnt for some reason. When I checked the error it was one of the decoding things which couldnt install.

When it gives you an error at the end, I think it will generate a link which you can click on to see what failed.

I doubt it's anything to worry about.

Uh oh, I think mines said it was out of date... Great..

So I need to do a entire OS install to fix it now? :/

If it works fine, then don't worry about it. Me personally, i like to see the green tick every time i install my drivers. I've been burned by this before, so im careful now and never make that mistake again. If its not causing any problems then you could just leave it and remember it for future reference.

I'll try uninstalling it normally, then using updated DDU and see if I get the error.

Nope, still get it :(

If it works fine then you can just ignore it. It could be something minor as previously suggested. If it was me though id be reinstalling the OS and would make sure i didn't make that mistake again. Up to you, your mileage may vary.

Well I had RMA'd the card for having random artifact issues and black screen problems. However its been fine with 14.4 for the moment but am worried that error may cause issues with FPS.

With 14.4 am still having problems with mantle and BF4 :<

What problems are you having? Considering your rma might be worth reinstalling the OS just to rule out any potential issues.

I don't get the benefits? When it trys to put recommended settings there terrible and the free game things I find is like winning the lotto anyway. I dont see what so good about it? :P

Did you read the OP/thread? Lots of free game/hardware giveaways. You earn points just for playing games so it pays to leave it running it in the background while you play and earn points. Set it up correctly (turn off all notifications etc) and it never disturbs you at all. Forget its running half the time. The guy who made RadeonPro is now part of the Raptr team so some of us are quite optimistic for the future of it.

Did you ever under the current OS installation use the ATI uninstaller? Especially an older version? Plays havoc with your OS install if you are on W8.

As LtMatt says when things start going wrong and you've spend hrs trying to Diagnose and fix, an OS install is a bit of an ache in the underwear area but it usually sorts out a fair bit. Using a flashable USB and having games on a seperate drive actually it's quite quick.

I had the same problems with stuck loops on install and errors at the end. An OS install and use of DDU for cleaning has me with a green tick everytime. Feel your pain though.
