installing new ram

just put in some new ram and i don't know if it is working or not. how would i know whether it is? and also what do i need to do when i put in new ram? all i did was put it in a restarted and windows didn't say anything or seem any different.

First of all, your pc turns on fine correct? Windows shouldn't say anything to you really. Download a program like CPU-Z and go into the memory section and it will tell you the name of the ram/timings/how much etc. If you want to be reassured that your memory "quantity" is what it should be just right click on my computer and click properties and it will tell you how much ram you got
