Installing new X870E to replace X670... but the same motherboard screws don't hold the new mobo firmly in place?

Hi all. I am upgrading an X670 to an X870E and the exact same screws that held the old motherboard in place do not fit tightly with the X870E. It's like the X8070 is thinner than the X670 so when the screws go down to the max they don't hold the mobo tightly in place like they did with the X670. The motherboard still has some wiggle room and can be moved upwards when the screws are fixed in. This happens with every screw and hole I tried.

Has anyone had the same experience and what did you do? Am I missing something obvious?

Ok guys I fixed it... it required a hard drive screw of all things! Now it goes in tight and I have no idea why it was different for this mobo. :)
