Installing Office and missing cab files, ARGH!!

I'm having huge problems installing Office '07 ultimate. Each time I try it says it can't find a excel.cab file. Only the flipping thing is there!! I point it to the correct directory but it still fails to see it!

I've check the nets and it seems like lots of people have had similar problems but none of the fixes work for me.

Anyone here had this or know anything about it and how to fix it??

Thanks for that. Sadly it didn't work for me though!

When you say 'mount the iso image' though I'm not sure what you mean?

I just copied the entire dvd contents to my hd. But I think that's wrong.

Could you explain the process in a little more detail? How do I extract the iso from the dvd when I don't see one on there?

Ok I've fixed the issue but only by restoring my machine prior to the point I uninstalled the trial version of Office... I simply installed my version of Office BEFORE uninstalling the trial version. Installed perfectly... The problem obviously lies in the uninstall process and some registry ********.
I did get in contact with someone at ms who sent me this page. I presume this should work but happily I'd already got it working. I thought I'd add it though in case anyone should have the need. It ain't exactly an easy page to track down!!
