Hi all,
Just got myself a new MBA, copied everything across and thought I best wipe my old 2011 MBA before selling it on MM.
Rebooted the MBA and held down CMD and R and wiped the disk before selecting reinstall Mavericks - but it kept asking for my Apple ID (which I don't want to input as I'm going to be selling the MBA).
A bit of reading and turns out I need to basically revert it to Lion or whatever OSX it came with, so reboot again and hold down CMD ALT and R and it boots into Internet Recovery mode. For whatever reason it won't accept my WiFi password (yes I'm getting it right, it must be something to do with the Plusnet router). Annoying, but I guess I'll just type my Apple ID and then figure something out.
Except it won't boot to the Mavericks installer anymore (CMD and R). Infact the only thing I can get it to do is boot into the Internet Recovery mode, which won't work.
I'm currently downloading a copy of Mavericks that I found somewhere on the internet with instructions on how to turn it into a bootable USB - is this really my best option?
