Hey guys and girls.

Need abit of help.

I have installed Ubuntu on a virtual box (just testing it out before i go full out Ubuntu).

I have set it up and can connect on 127.0.1.1 which is the local ip Owncloud gave me. Although i can only connect to this when im in the virtual box using Firefox.

Although when i come out of virtual system and try to connect via the browser on the same system, it will not connect. (The Virtual Box is still running in the background).

I also have the same issue trying to connect remotely. I get a 404 error when trying to connect. Would having it on the virtual box, bottle neck any incoming connections and confuse it? Dont want to do a whole format just to text the connection will work.

Thanks.

You're probably using NAT networking. Switch to Bridged Adapter to make life easier.

Still getting the 404 error mate. When i put my WAN ip in (im at work) it links me through to my Sky Router homepage. So i know my ports are open too. DO i need to redirect the IP? to hit the virtualbox in anyway?
