Is it easy to install an Intel push pin (Akasa AK-965) cooler outside of the case? Will the motherboard bend all over the place? Could I damage something? what's the best technique?

Cool cheers.

I'm basically changing cases here. Do you think it would be ok to leave the RAM sticks in when I swap the mobo to the new case? I'll take everything else out of course.

Ok cheers.

Yeah I was reseating my AK 965 as the temps were shooting up again, but I couldn't be bothered to take the MOBO out and like you said wellibob you cannot get access to one or two of the push pins at all, they are like right under the fan, impossible to get any force on it. I used a screw driver and it slipped and hit my DS3  Luckily nothing seemed to be damaged thank god.

Oh man it was so much easier outside of the case. I think that 2 pins weren't pushed threw properly. I'm idling about 12c lower than I was before. My new case (Antec 900) helps a bit also :)

Cheers all.
