I'm building my first PC and I just have a quick question regarding RAM.

The RAM I have is rather tall and as such, obscures part of the heatsink fan when it is installed in slots A1 and B1. Does it make a difference if I switch the RAM to A2 and B2? It would increase cooling of not only the CPU but the RAM itself and it'd make the installation of the fan on the heatsink easier.

What motherboard are you using, as some boards will only boot with the memory in certain slots.

Cheers, just had a look at the manual and it does not say the RAM needs to be installed in certain slots for the board to boot, you may be lucky :)
