We have Sage 200, I think its V4 so it's definitely an XP jobbie.

Now I want to have Windows 7 64 bit on my desktop however I am clearly going to run into an issue with Sage.

Assuming the Sage 200 is a failure, which I am accepting it to be, what are my other options?

Sage will be installed from the server and spooled etc from the server. So my issue is how can I get it onto my PC which is on the domain.

Can I use a VM machine running XP? Can't really think of much else other than just installing XP :(

install and see if it works will be step one... step 2 is post for ideas.. ive not found may programs that done work on w7 - reember you can set the compatibility optionsd

Should be compatible as we use Sage500 on Win7 but your sage supplier should be able to confirm which verstion of Sage will work

ow the one thing that might not work is the sage pdf printer install, but i think you can fudge that with a newer version ov the pdf driver installer

High five.

Worked like a charm.

Wouldn't work on 7, kept getting errors.

No problem!

Glad it worked, it's what it's designed to do :D
The best part is you don't even need to run the app in a dedicated virtual machine window, you can have a shortcut to the app on the desktop and Windows 7 will run it almost like a native app.
