A nasty looking minefield
Hello, as you may know from previous threads my pc has crashed.

I had a root around in the attic and found a 320gb external USB 2.0 HDD.

Saved all my stuff on it. That took some time

Went 20mins ago to install windows again. All ready, then I realised I had lost my sata Drivers which I had got with my evga 680i.

Does anyone have any spares they can upload or some places to download.

Will any sata drivers do??

Cheers

Also I dont think raid is what I want.

P.S just found a floppy disc with my handwriting on saying sata drivers.

Does it matter that this was for my ASrock board?

Does windows detect the SATA drive? No I believe you need to use the Main boards official SATA driver, which should be from NVidia as its they’re chipset, I’ll have a look on their website and see if I can locate the drivers for you.

EDIT: I cant seem to find any SATA drivers only hotfixes, maybe someone with the same board might upload them?

Sorry please explain to me why you need drivers for a Hard Disk, im confused?

Some Motherboards with SATA hard drives don’t get recognised by windows setup so you need to install a driver just before the windows setup screen to tell it there’s a hard drive attached to the comp, that’s the best I can explain it :p

i never had this problem with my evga 680i i did a dual boot install on about a month ago

the only drivers you need are if youre running raid on 2 or more drives which i am (raid 0)

No i ahvent installing a SATA DRIVE Before and i didnt need to, all you do is put it in connect it up format it then install windows.

Surely you only need drivers when setting up RAID?
