Hi there,

Having difficulty installing this Scythe Ninja 2 cpu cooler on my AM3 PII x2 cpu.

The AM3 bracket is already in place... the cooler has the metal brace already screwed on..the one that has a 'hook' on either side.

I've tried keeping the cooler flat and then pressing firmly down on either side to keep the pressure as even as possible but can't seem to get them to hook on!

I've also tried hooking one then first and then pressing down on the other... again, it's not hooking on :( Such a pain for me..

anyone know what i'm doing wrong? thanks.

EDIT: the retaining thing on the bottom left hand corner to pic:

Just sorted it!

Pretty sure i read somewhere you can install these things without taking the mobo out... WRONG!! (well, at least for me anyway).

Took mobo out and in my opinion, it was the only way to see how the cooler can be fitted... it's more of a 'hook one side first..slide it slightly over a bit for the other side to hook on'.

bit tricky for a noob like me :P

just realised i don't have any clips to clip a fan on.

Anyone got any novel ideas as to how i could install two fans on this thing in push/pull config?

(cooler seems to accomodate 92mm fans... i only have 120mm fans)

thanks!

Thanks SupermotoMX, but this one's quite tricky..however i think i have a solution... no push/pull yet..but at least i have 'push' (using some velcro..it's super sticky and will provide some anti-vibration properties too!).

thanks :)

could easily get push upp with a few cable ties

put both fans on, and take the cabletie through the 120mm fan mouting holes on one side, to the opposie fan, and connect em up do the same with all 4 fan mounting holes

not 100% i just went by what i could see doable from pictures
