I am in the process of getting a new server, this server comes with 2003. I have got permission to install my copy of 2008 and I'm curious whether I can do that from home using a virtual drive and installing from inside the 2003 environment?

I also have KVMIP access which should help.

Anyone know if this is possible?

Don't have access to the machine, newly purchased server miles away. On loading the disk on my machine I do have the option to install it, afterwhich it begins copying files... I imagine it might be possible to do an upgrade from 2003?

Be a bit of a pain if I have to send them the CD, they should have a 2008 R2 disk laying about the data centre I would have thought.

I've got a 20Mbit line, but have another Dedi with 100/100 line that I could remote install from. I've talked with them since last post, they said they can install no problem on their end, or burn a disk if they need to.
