For a bit of nostalgia, I would like to install Sims 2 on my Windows 10 PC. I also have numerous expansion packs.
The original 4 CD game installs just fine. However, the problem arises when I come to install any of the expansion packs. Following the installation of the expansion pack, the setup procedure says that a patch needs to applied and asks for CD 4 of the original game installation. However, this patching process always crashes with the error 'TS2UPD.exe has stopped working'. Once I close this error, the expansion pack is automatically removed and I'm left with just the base game installed.
Does anyone know how to get the base game and all of the expansion packs installed?
Many thanks
M.
