Good morning all hope your all well :)

I am a pc novice and i can just about put components in let alone set them up. I purchased this sound card below, and reading through the comments a few people metioned *after setting this up* it worked

Could someone elaborate on what exactly needs to be set up? dont you just put the card in install the drivers and your off? or are the additional settings that you need to tweak?

Asus Xonar DX 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card [90-YAA060-1UAN00Z]

Look forward to a reply!

Thanks

usually you will get a software suite installed with the drivers which is similar to a HiFI control pannel, well think of it like that makes it easier.

Lets you adjust the tone, bass, treble through a graphic equalizer and all other kinds of stuff like dolby surround, environmental effects to simulate different spaces like concert halls cavesm all weird things i find of little use.

Its all pretty straight forward have a play until you like the way it sounds

Just install the Xonar drivers off the disc or the website and have a fiddle.

Xonar DX Audio Centre has your options for Gaming, Music, Film presets in a little circle. The rest of the setting should be simple enough. Stuff like Audio channels for the amount of speakers you have, the sample rate and whether you use Dolby Headphone or not.

Simples.
