Installing SP1 over SP1 RC?

I installed the RC of SP1 a few months ago, and all's good. But I've heard you have to actually uninstall SP1 RC before you install the official one... Is this true? Has anyone else had to do this? Im not too keen to unistall a SP, as its so massive and complicated, I fear my machine will be ill after!

Yes its true you have to uninstall the old one before applying SP1 final.

Had to uninstall a few times, it takes time but never been a problem.

it's pretty obvious you'd have to uninstall it

the rc's aren't mean to be used on live systems anyway
