I completely fail at DIY. But I've decided to hook up my own washing machine, considering from first glance it appears to be a case of, Blue pipe screws onto the Blue ringed copper pipe, Red pipe screws onto the red ringed copper pipe.
Einstein at work there right?
What's confusing me is the waste pipe. I had a google and it says the grey waste pipe coming from my washing machine just slots into the waste pipe on the wall. Now the waste pipe on the wall is wider than the one coming from the washing machine, and its also cut at an angle like a piece of bamboo. Is it really just a case of slotting the smaller pipe inside that? As this to me seems unfinished and prone to leaking. The waste pipe on the wall is vertical with the open end at the top, so i guess as long as my washing machine doesn't expel waste too fast it should be fine, But it just doesn't seem right to me. lol
Any help?
