Behind you... Naked!
Today, I got hold of a HP netbook.... It has no markings on it, it does have a Win 7 started sticker and so I can plop Windows onto it I suppose, but I really want to use Linux on it.

Irritatingly, its only 32Bit and ok, I suppose thats not a real issue, but I dont have many 32 Bit Linux images to throw onto it.

Anyway its a HP Mini 110-4100

Its got a dual core Atom with Hyperthreading, so looks like 4 cores

Its still ridiculously slow though! - Junk notebooks.

The thing is, that I have tried to put a couple of Linux distros on it now, and while I am able to do it live, and get the use of the graphics on some distros, when I actually try installing it to the HD, it all goes on just fine, but I end up with the CLI and I cannot get into a GUI at all?

Its bugging me.

I am downloading more up to date distros in 32 Bit flavour and I hope that will help somewhat, but in the mean time, anyone have any suggestions?

Its got Intel graphics... ( Spit ) so clearly Im not expecting much.
