Hi all system is as follows:

Q6600
abit ip35 pro
4gb of ram
2x 500gb samsung in raid 0

I have booted into bios. Set the SATA controller to RAID. created the raid 0 stripe. then booted back to bios and set first boot to DVD drive. I have used a sata DVD drive and a IDE dvd drive on master.

it starts to "Windows starts to load files" but it always hangs before it gets to full. What have I done wrong?

any help is much appretiated.

on my machine I have just installed from new windows 64 bit with 2* 1gb
and 2*2GB corsair, no problem installing..

could it be the memory at fault, infact windows 64 did not need a drivers disc ie press F6 to get floppy drivers for raid.

PS did a search on these forums for u and
from Jaffa123

The patch you require is Windows6.0-KB929777-v2-x86. This is easily found and downloaded direct from MS just by typing in the search KB929777.
The most common problem when installing Vista is a diplay adapter conflict which uses the same memory hole as something like the ATK110 on the ASUS motherboards. An up to date version is downloaded as a solution on reboot.
For your video card to occupy the same IRQ as the ATA I/O causes the system to give you the BSOD and a reboot.
I hope the above helps, anyway.
