System setup atm:

C: (250gb) Windows XP install, my documents, program files etc
E: (160gb) Purely for storage, music games videos etc

I am getting Vista soon and I want to install it on my system but I have no idea how I would go about doing this. I'm guessing I would need to partition drives but again I've no idea how to do this. What's the best way to go about doing this? Will I have to format everything and backup data and start from scratch? Cheers guys.

Sorry I didn't make myself very clear, everything i do at the moment seems to be rushed! Basically what I want to do is install vista just so i can play with it and see what it's like. I'll keep using XP for the majority of tasks. I'm just curious to see what vista's like....but too lazy to go throught the hassle of worrying about what software will and wont work, and the drivers issues etc :o
