I would like to install Vista on a 16gb usb flash drive - does anyone have any info at all on how to do this? Its pretty hard to find on google. This would make an excellent silent/quick PC solution (obviously using a standard HDD for storage/other software)

vlite and build an ISO, test on vmware, image the drive with it in windows
Plug into new PC, boot priority -> Removeable disk

edit: or vista may just let you choose the flash drive as a install disk?

when vista is loading up, does it not 'reflesh' the usb as it were, for example my mouse turns off.. and then turns back on when its loading up. meaning a vista install on usb is unlikly to work, as its going to get stuck half way through loading.
