Hi,

I am in dire need of help here. I have been trying to get vista installed on my new system for about 2 days now. Here is the short and sweet version,

The problem: Vista can not see my sata drive ( only storage drive in system) I am able to see the Raptor in my bois though, but when I get to the sceen asking to load drivers I have know idea how to sort it, I have even tried the drivers off the WD website but to no joy.

Please help.

Where do I find these drivers as all I have is my Vista DVD which came with my PC, my board is a EVGA 680i and on there web site it only shows the Chipset driver and no SATA drivers?

I'm bit of a noob and not checked that, what would I need to do there then???? sorry just learning still :o

This is really start to frustrate me now, I managed to put the SATA drivers on my USB drive and it showed up when I searched for them on the Vista install but my raptor still doesnt show up, the thing is I can see it in my bios and I could see the Raptor as a storage drive when I had Vista running before.

Has anybody got anymore ideas??

Just a quick thought, maybe try a different channel on your motherboard?

Happened to me once, changed the cable over and it worked.
