Installing Vista on my Secondary HDD

I am going to install vista on my secondary hdd with xp on my primary and am wondering if there will be any problems or if its just a case of changing the boot priority in the bios?

Shouldn't be any problems. Just change the boot setting within the BIOS.

I think there is a way you can make a little boot menu on startup, without going into BIOS eachtime, e.g.

Press Either 1 or 2

1. Windows XP
2. Windows Vista

Not sure how, somebody here might be able to tell you how.

Vista should do that for you as long as the previous version of Windows is installed and avaliable on install.
