I want to install Vista x64 but I also want to hide all my hard drives except the one I'm installing to from the Windows installer, I tried going into the Bios and selecting None for the Hard Drives I didn't want to show up but the installer still detected them, I could disable the controllers which would do it but, the hard drive I want to install to is a slave on the Primary IDE Channel so if I was to disable that then I wouldn't see that drive to install to.

Can anyone suggest anything short of unplugging them?

You could have one on each IDE channel and disable one of the channels? You'd have to swap the cables over I guess though. That's if you have more than one IDE channel. Maybe a bit more info about your board could be useful for someone with the same one.

Well I want to avoid swapping anything around if possible. I want to avoid Vista writing to the boot block of the primary drive.
