I am going to be installing windows on my new pc tonight, is there anything important i need to download or will i be ok with the driver disks that came with the hardware?

Windows 7 should find most drivers, check device manager. Install the drivers which came with your motherboard though and go download drivers like your graphics card one (especially if we're talking about good cards)

There's a well known high street computer company that will install software for you for £25. Why the hell anyone would pay them when software installation is so easy double click, YES, YES, YES, FINISH.

Easy

Tbh the only install issue I've ever had with w7 is on this rather old (in pc terms) mobo I'm using right now. It totally fails to install any driver for it meaning no network i.e. it can't find the updated sata ones etc. Requires the driver disk but it's a blip, and it's the only board since vista rc that hasn't simply worked.

That said I'd make sure your disks are sp1 and if not download the sp1 iso (Digital river) as it saves a lot of install/patch time. Also Windows 7 SB Tool.
