Installing Windows on iMac

Right, at current we have an new i5 iMac in the computer room but I can't get away with the Apple software. My old PC is still sitting here but I want to do away with it and put Windows 7 on to the Mac and dual boot it so my wife can have the apple OSX and I can have my Windows. Now is there a way somehow to do an exact clone of the current hard drive in the PC to put on the mac so when I fire it up into Windows I get all the things I had before? I know drivers etc will be an issue but I'll deal with them after. I just don't fancy going right through all the programs/updates I had on there again.

Any help is appreciated.

Short answer - no.

You need to boot camp it properly.

That's doable. Parallels Transporter will virtualise it down a network lead and do all the necessary setup work for you. It's just not great for things that need decent 3D performance.
