installing windows on top of previous versions.

i have installed a fresh copy of windows on my friends old hard drive,
basically i want to know if there is any wayy to get the progs that are in the prog files folder to work again, he has hours and hours worth of sims and that in there that he doesnt want to lose! plus his i tunes, any ideas how to get all his old progs working??

Move all the game data files into a safe place, reinstall the programs and restore the game data files. Different games store the user data in different places. Best thing to do is go on the official website of each of the games/programs (or just use google) to find out where the data is saved so you can back it up.
