Hi all, I have got very bored of windows 7 being super slow, i've now decided that something is wrong. The only change I have made since changing from vista is to use a 1000gb hdd instead of a 160gb as the primary drive, is this what is slowing down my boot up times ?

Cheers

Shouldn't make any notable difference, infact if anything, due to the more compact platters you should get slightly reduced seek times.

Have you benched the HDD at all (using HDtach or similar)?

Hmm, no I havn't benched but I really don't think its hardware related tbh, just wondered if it made a big difference or something
