USB optical drive personally.

Install from USB.

Get an ISO file of the Windows install you wish to use.

Use Rufus to get it on a USB stick.

Gamers like myself need optical drives for retail games,games don't come on USB sticks ,as others have stated USB flash drives or even USB external optical drive.

I've both so covered either way,yes my OS ISO is backed up on USB stick and DVD as well,better safe then sorry .

In installed 7 from a CD the other day and forgot that reinstalling Windows used to be something you set a night asaide for.

Installed Windows 10 from USB last night and it was done in the time it took me to eat a bowl of cereal .

I love Rufus, but I have had a very select few images that have not been supported by it. So I generally use both Rufus and Microsoft Windows USB tool depending on what media I'm burning.
