Never seen this before...

When I turn the computer on, the mouse and keyboard are working fine (i can get into the bios) and the light on the mouse is on

BUT when i install windows, it gets to the time/date/reginal settings screen, and the mouse and keyboard are off, ive tried different USB ports to no avail

They were working before, why not now

bios is not set to USB2 as they are old USB devices

Im pretty certain there is an option in the BIOS to enable usb keyboard/mouse... as I had that problem before. Cant remember the name of the option, but it is there... :)

USB Legacy etc was already enabled

Managed to get past it in the end and set windows up and its all working fine now

What I did was unplug and replug them in, but only 1 port seemed to be working, so i had to switch between the mouse and keyboard one at a time.

Now Windows is set up, all the ports are working fine
