Dont have a floppy drive available and the laptop is asking for SATA drivers and wont recognise USB stick or allow file location to be changed to anything other than floppy.

Have tried slipstreaming sata drivers into the windows install using Nlite, that didnt work either.
Have also tried installing all files etc on another machine then once files are copied putting the drive into the laptop, and that blue screens.

Anything else I can try before I go order a USB floppy drive ?

I take it you've tried this:-

or this

(Taken from ***** forums)

STAGE 1 - WINDOWS CD PREP
Take your Windows XP CD and copy all the files on it to your hard drive into a directory (C:\WinXPCD for example). Also take note of what the CD is called.

*SNIP*

The link you posted details the Nlite method, which I had already tried to no avail.

However the 2nd method you posted worked like a charm.
Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks for all the replies chaps.
