Installing XP 64 bit on Dell 690

Hi Guys,

I have literally been sitting in front of said computer for 6 hours now trying to install xp 64 bit on it.

First of all i was getting the "no hard drive" error, I have now slipstreamed a 64bit xp disc with the drivers for the SAS controller and sata drives. The error that I now get is this:

I don't know what symmpi.sys is but it must be something to do with the SAS controller, help!!!

You need to find the 64 bit drivers for your SAS controller and slipstream those, deleting your 32 bit drivers at the same time to avoid confusion.

I have slipstreamed the 64 bit divers but that's when it comes up with that error. What do you mean about deleting the 32 bit drivers?
