Installing xp on a few different computers

Hi All,

Just got a quick question.

Is it possible to create an image of an xp install and stick it on computers with different Hard drive capacity?

Example:

PC1 has the install and an image is taken off this, Hard drive = 160GB
PC2 wants the same image as PC1, Hard drive = 80GB
PC3 wants the same image as PC1, Hard drive = 250GB

and so on.

Yes, depends on which imaging tool you use though. I'd personally build the image on the 80GB machine. If the hardware is not identical (hard disk aside) you may want to look into the paid-for tools to aid with this.

Best off only using images if the pc's are internally very similar.. ie same chipsets etc
