Hi all

I'm using a USB floppy drive to F6 load the Intel AHCI storage drivers for my XP Pro with SP3 installation. The installation can see the drives fine. Just before the setup starts copying files needed for setup, it pops up a message saying:

Insert the disk labeled: Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver into drive A:

The floppy disk is still in the drive, and no amount of pressing enter makes the setup think it is.

Can anyone explain to me how I get beyond this point?

Many thanks

Michael

I think the way I did it (was a couple of years ago so not sure) is that I installed windows using IDE mode. Then in windows I installed the AHCI drivers, restarted and switched it over to AHCI mode in the BIOS

I'm trying that now. I needed a new installation anyway, so I thought I would go with AHCI mode this time. But so much for that so far since it hasn't worked up to now!
