Hey guys,

Being a bit a n00b when it comes to RAID I thought Id be better off asking here before doing anything silly.

Basically, ordering my second Raptor today so I can have two in RAID 0 as its apparently the fastest on a budget (correct me if Im wrong). What I need to know though is, how do I set up this RAID array and then install XP on it to then upgrade to Vista?

Any help and sugestions would be much appreciated :)

Mobo is an Asus P5K ;)

You'll have a walkthrough on your motherboard manual as to the exact steps of setting up a RAID array.

Remember - you lose any data you have on your existing drive as a result of the array being created, so back up first.

Also remember to enable RAID on the two drives before you start - otherwise they won't appear as an option to create one.

Have got the 1st drive sitting next to me :P Have been toying with the idea of getting another drive instead of installing just the one and now I have a bit of spare cash so I thought why not :)

Will study my mobo manual.

Cheers.
