Instanlled Canon software and now pc wont shutdown?

I've installed canon software for my digital camera and now my pc wont shutdown I have to manually unplug it. Any suggestion what the problem might be.

Try uninstalling the programme, then see if it closes down normally then re-install and see what happens. If the problem persists try a restore point before it all went wrong.
