I think this question was asked recently but I can not find the post, though I have not searched very hard!
However I was thinking this would be a good idea, to keep the bath warmer for longer, and retain a bit of extra heat in the house.
What would you pack out the empty space with? I was thinking just loft insulation, but doing a bit of googling says not to use fibreglass and use insulating foam? My bathroom is upstairs, in a 4 year old house. The bath is not against an outside wall, and is not sitting on a concrete floor. Sooooo do you guys think loft insulation would be ok? Seems like a cheap home improvement. The wife loves long baths and i would love it if she did not need to top up the hot water so often
Would the space blanket insulation be better? The fibre glass is enclosed etc
Could be a stupid idea. All opinions welcome.
