Hi,

My current policy runs out about 10 days before my 25th birthday. What should I do?

a) renew policy when it runs out

or

b) get a cover note and start new policy when I'm 25

I'm thinking "b" as insurance drops down quite a bit when you turn 25, and should out weigh the cost of the cover note.

Opinions please.

that'd mean they'd have to take out a new policy on the car for 10 days...kinda pointless.

Err - isn't that the whole point of a cover note?

just buy the insurance through someone like admiral, and cancel within the 14 day cooling off period... perfectly legal.

They've given me the best online quote so far if i was to renew straight away.

Some insurance companies may allow you to take the policy based on a premium for you being 25 as it is only 10 days, that is something you'd need to check though really.

I've also found it best to actually phone insurance companies as well as opposed to doing online quotes ....

I'll see what admiral say.

Cheers,

So Day Insure aside, there are no other ways of obtaining temporary insurance without taking out a full years policy and then prematurely terminating it?

WTF???
