Insurance claim woes

They must have opened a fraud investigation to find that out.

You probably shouldn't post anymore details until it has finished.

And this is definitely Admiral that are phoning you and making you provide them with identification and other details, because of something that didn't and couldn't have happened?

You're not getting scammed or something? :p

I checked the number on the letter was one of thier numbers and it was, it was on the website.

I got passed around from three different departments, with a mix of Welsh and American accents, typical Admiral. I'd be surprised if this was a scam.

Some closure on this, today, four whole weeks after the initial contact.

"We have now closed the claim down based on the evidence provided."

I'm glad I didn't end up trekking across to one of their approved body shops as that would have been pointless.

I'm not saying it's been keeping me up at night or anything but it has been playing on my mind. I'm still very much against the way this was done, whether I'm right or wrong I don't know, but in my mind you gather the evidence first and then start pointing the finger. Poor show on Admiral's behalf there.

Thanks for the support guys, especially Rodenal who I spoke to outside of OverClockers who put my mind at ease.

Does a closed claim get removed from your records? You know what insurance companies are like. A claim is a claim as far as they are concerned. Could push you premiums up
