Hi folks,

I have an insurance claim for a new PC and monitor.

I need to submit a list of components I would need if I were to build it myself and a comparable prebuilt system. These should be between £800 and £1100

I was going to use a competitor to give a component list (so i have different suppliers) and use a OCUK prebuilt system.

The differences between all OCUK systems are a bit odd.

Does anyone have any opinions on prebuilt systems?

I would be using the system for lots of Photoshop and games.

Thanks

depending on what sort of level you game at (ie tetris or crysis :) ) for crysis you're better off putting together you're own.

When i had to do an insurance claim a few years back with barclays theyj ust gave me vouchers for a competitior, even tho i asked for a cheque made payable to ocuk

This is what I came up with. Note that if you replace the two 4870s with an X2 card, it will come into budget. Of course, if you don't need the power of the X2, then you can simply go with one 4870, and spend the cash on a second smaller monitor.

Unfortunately, finding a pre-built with that kind of power is going to cost a lot more...
