Insurance Question

This is slightly random but i need to satisfy my curiosity. If using an online company, how long does it take, from the time you submit all the details to insurance company, to the time the insurance becomes active?

With most companies, it is instantaneous, but some do allow you to specify a time in the future for it to become active.

You will usually get the paperwork within a couple of working days (which is important if you need to tax the car in question)
