Insurance Questions bit stuck

Ok, so my my car was struck on 30th april 2009, since then my car has been unused apart from inpsection by our insurers ( quinn ) in which we had to drive to a depot for it to be checked, the car was written off and they offered a payout to cover costs.

now my insurance runs 23/july/08 to 23/july/09 with every payment coming out on the 23rd my car has now been towed as of this morning and we have resent of for reimbursement for my tax disc. Am i still paying insurance on the car till the end in order to recieve another years ncb am i entitled to any money back? or is my insurance now canceled, both my car and the guy who hit it our with quinn i dont want to ring without some prior knowledge so they dont try to pull a fast one, thanks in advance.

What happened when you took this up with your insurance company? I am guessing that the insurance contract terminated when your car was taken off the road, and therefore you have not built up the full year necessary to qualify as a year's NCB, and it would be at the discretion of your insurance company whether they would assign a year of NCB because you weren't at fault.

Hello mate, rang up insurers i still have to pay the last two months and whatever happens my car insurance runs out july 23rd.
