Insurance refund for moving to better post code?

Hi, I'm moving to a new area in 2 weeks and the post code is a lower risk band than I am currently in. My car will also be garaged at my new address, which it is currently not.

I am with Bell, 10 month policy, paid up front. Does anyone know if I can apply to them for a refund for part of the price as the premium should be lower due to lower risk post code and being garaged? Has anyone successfully done this before?

I know the obvious answer is to phone them and ask, but my experience with their customer services is not very good unless you are trying to buy something.

When you phone up to change your address/details of the policy they should say if there is a refund or more to pay on the policy.

All my previous insurers have anyway

I've never had a refund due to better postcodes.
I moved from postcode A to postcode B and my insurance increased due to the area.
I then moved from postcode B back to postcode A and my premium increased again, apparently due to the postcode. This was in the same year and the same insurer.

Less than impressed but at the time I didn't have the experience to really fight them. I would now!

I've always found Bell customer service to be excellent.

Just echoing the above.

When I changed my car Bell were excellent over the phone and refunded me some of my premium as it was a lower risk compared to the previous one.
