Depends on the replacement value of your gear if it all got nicked, but usually each item is individual in value anyway, so check their limit per item too.

My gear is covered on home contents, outside too. I think it depends on your level of cover & how much they stipulate they'll pay max for a single item.

I added my 300mm F2.8 lens as an itemised extra, as it was just above their max payout for a single item. Think it was around £70, but could be mistaken.

Some insurerers want serial #'s of certain items, others don't.

Just ring up & ask, they're usually fine.

Same. I think mine is a single item limit of 1500 with 3500 worth of total cover.

I listed all my gear on my contents insurance. All covered in and out of the house
