A friend of mine pointed me in the direction of this , I'm sure there's many familiar with the mod already . Anyway after giving the beta a go over the last few day's i'm really starting to enjoy it..kinda feels a cross between Counter strike and Red Orchestra 2 for me. Anybody else bought this already or thinking of getting it when released?

Been keeping an eye on this. Does look good.

Insurgency. Early Access on Steam. <----- Get with the clicking.

It's in great shape already, games have shipped and went on to sell fantastically well in a far worse state. This is completely playable and a great fun right now.

As has already been said it has a bit of CS about it but with a greater range of weapons and attachments to buy between rounds. It has iron sights, prone and more realistic damage, movement and recoil. A smaller scale, more pick up and play version of RO2/Rising Storm in a modern setting isn't too far off, it even has a similarly excellent suppression mechanic. Pace-wise it would probably sit in between the two, running around like John J. will end in a bad way, so it pays to be a bit more cautious and methodical rather than living/dyng by reflexes alone.

It's definitely a more accessible game than RO2 but more meat than a lot of shooters.

tl;dr
Counter-Strike for adults.

Yeah I got it yesterday, probably the best FPS i've played in a long time, enjoying it more than games like BF3, I just wish there was some sort of progression system and hit markers, never know if I kill someone >_>.

Also I got mine for £4.50 from dota2lounge.com. I bought a dota2 item, whalehook from marketplace and traded some guy who I'm guessing bought a 4pack. So try that first, bit cheaper.

I really enjoy the first game if anyone knows of where I can buy Insurgency cheaper please let me know

Not really right now, but I expect it to pick up. Theres always 2 full servers and 3 half full servers, but theres not thousands playing. You won't have trouble finding a game.

Added you ak ..It does seem to be picking up and i expect it will continue to as it gets nearer to retail , but as tune says it's never really a problem getting a game..been playing a few rounds tonight and can't recommend this enough. On the issue of hit boxes ect , i feel it adds to the tension, not being sure if you have got the kill for a second or 2.

I'll commit to buying one for my mate , but will standaside if anybody else wants a copy besides ak and shankley if both are still up for it.

Got three spare copies here, will pop them up in the MM shortly.

Great stuff. I would have spread the wuv with a 4-pack myself but it wont let me buy one as I already own the game.

ps I tried to add you on uplay for trials evolution. Spacemodulator is the name.
