insuring a car for work use

if this new job is confirmed i will need to insure it for work use also.

how much extra does this tend to add on?

not that it will mean anything, as my driving experience/car/etc, etc are different to yours but mine was an extra £35

It varies from insurer to insurer. Zurich didn't charge any extra, Elephant charged £300ish which I passed onto the company.

i am trying to do an online quote with tesco. but they dont seem to have the option to chose that it will be insured for work purposes to

Didn't add anything to my insurance to add Business Class 1 (Nationwide, underwritten by Churchill but with Lloyds TSB on the paperwork.. how confusing

).

flipping heck.. I am with Elephant, and it was £35 NOT 300!!!

just goes to show you, ONLY the insurance comany and YOU wil define the cost

Business Class 1 usage at age 21 on my group 14 Cavalier added about a tenner to a £500 policy IIRC.

The figure came as something of a surprise to me! Ignoring the business insurance, Elephant were the cheapest by about £100 so I told work that they were required to pay the additional fee or they'd be paying for me to take lots of taxis.
